It's been 10 years this month since we opened Nice Rack Canada in Toronto.

It's been a wonderful & sometimes weird decade of guitar tone & more. We've been through some ups, and some downs since then...

The highs happen every time we help a player derive more value from their equipment in the process of making music. The smile of satisfaction that a corner has been turned in their music making process...

The downs have all been thrown at us by the little dick energy that is capitalism & its practices, and a pandemic that kicked the music industry in the guts trying to leave it for dead.

We're incredibly fortunate to have met some great players, producers & DJ's, but even more fortunate to experience the awesome humanity of those music makers.

Despite the incompetence & greed of our elected leaders, we've survived the pandemic and we continue to deliver the goods & services to our clients at the highest possible level of workmanship & grade of materials.

We haven't posted much content over the last two years for a number of reasons. Primarily, every time we've wanted to post something, an event happens around us that is much more deserving of the bandwidth & attention.

Among these events have been our society coming to terms with its systemically racist structure derivative of colonialism.

Headlines such as "Mass Graves found at Residential School", "Police Shoot & Kill Unarmed Black Man", "Lethal Oversight on First Nations Land", "Police Terrorize Homeless Encampment" and "Military Invasion" loom largest from the last 2 years.

When the latest headline makes our blood boil, we do what we can to affect change outside our doors. We also double down on our efforts inside our shop to build better music tools that help bolster the human condition, while befuddling capitalists and destroying fascists.

The photos in this post are works that we completed under the black cloud that the last 2 years have brought us.

This post is our promise to keep giving the system a proudly waived middle finger in the name of helping create the purest music possible that helps invert the narrative away from a caucasian centric patriarchy blindly accepting of capitalism.

We plan to be back in another 10 years to say the same thing even louder. We hope you'll all be here with us when that comes.

Rock on, Rave on, Rage on & keep playing music from the heart that speaks truth to power!

Our builds are the result of many links in the chain, we wouldn't be here without the help of some really good people at really good brands. Thank you to RJM Music Technology, Voodoo Lab, Fractal Audio, Two notes Audio Engineering and Engineered Case Manufacturers.

None of this rig building business would even exist if it were not for the inspiration & intellect of the wonderful human being we're lucky enough to be friends with, Bob Bradshaw at Custom Audio Electronics.

Thank you for all that you have done for music. Without music & you, this world would be a pretty poopy place indeed.
